Independence Commission Africa believes in the inalienable right of all people to be economically free, decide for themselves what they want out of life and how to attain it, without infringing on the rights of any other person.

We believe in the right to private property, and the right of every person to put his product, including his labour, on the market, at the prices that he decides, and the individual shall hold all right to decide if he rejects or accepts an offer.
